This movie is highly recommended for all ages. Its original title is Hotaru no Haka is a Japanese animated film directed by Isao Takahata, Hayao Miyazaki, who together with one of the partners who produced Ghibli est apelicula.
Set in the summer of 1945 bombing by U.S. aircraft against Japan are unstoppable and very frequent, causing chaos, famine and struggle for survival no matter what. Here two small Seita of 14 years and 5 years old sister Setsuko struggle to survive.
